I have a NEXUS 10 and I would like to connect the tablet to my Denon AVR-1306 receiver so that I could play music. I assume it would require that I build a cable that would connect to the headphone jack on the tablet and the external input ports on the receiver. Seems like it should work, but I thought I'd ask in advance.
Thanks.

If your receiver has a free HDMI input, you could also use an HDMI mini cable for audio as well as video. I'm not sure if doing so would produce better sound quality than the analog connection. I'm thinking it would though.

Also consider picking up a Chromecast. If you have uploaded tracks to Play Music, you can use the Nexus 10 to stream them to the Chromecast (the music would actually stream from Google's servers, the Nexus 10 would just be the way you control it). I do this frequently with on Sony ES receiver and it sounds surprisingly good.

For clarification, the A/V receiver is a Denon AVR-486 (not sure why I thought it was a 1306). The receiver does not support HDMI (which is why I replaced it when I upgraded my home theater.
I'm still testing the solution. I built a cable that connects the Nexus 10 to the ext.in but the sound is extremely low with a lot of humming. I assume its the Denon processor that is having trouble translating the signal. Not sure if I want to purchase the Wireless Speaker Adapter if it's not going to work.

Sounds like it wants a ground connection between the boxes. Also more power than the signal from the N10 is outputting. Using a Denon 1611 for the tv and video stuff via HDMI at the moment. The optical connection through the tv works well too though. Picks up whatever source is hooked to the tv with the receiver always on the "tv imput" of the Denon.
The Visio Google tv can play stuff from my LAN although I don't know what programs the Nexus 10 would use to serve them.
