Stuck at splash screen then "dies"

Hello!
I've looked around for a while to see if anyone else is a having the same problem as me, but I couldn't find anyone.

First off I'm rooted with S-OFF and I'm running MIUI 1.12.9.
It's been running smooth with no problems for the past month and a half when suddenly this morning I turn it on and it stayed on the splash screen for longer than usual and then the screen turns off as if it powered off. (I had charged it to full battery life the previous night.) I tried holding the power button to see if I could maybe boot it back up somehow, but nothing.
I tried connecting it to the charger and then tried connecting it to my computer through USB.
Still nothing.
Again, this was totally random as I've had no problem with booting up before.

It would be great if anyone could possibly help me out.

can you get into hboot?
Hold down volume down + power until it appears. If you can get to hboot you have at least some options.

Did you try doing a battery pull? That might help. Or if you keep having the same issue you can always wipe your phone and reinstall or flash something else.

Hi,

It can be anything from a faulty battery or a faulty phone to a wonky installation of software.

First thing I would do is remove the battery and unplug the phone from any USB. Now hold down the power button for 15 seconds. Replace the battery and attempt to turn the phone on. If it doesnt turn on try just plugging it up to USB (wall) without the battery and attempt to power up the phone.

If that doesnt work try what sjpritch25 suggested.

Turn your phone off and ensure it is unplugged from USB. Ensure there are no PXXXXIMG.zip files on the root of your SD Card. Hold Volume Down and Power Button at same time. Allow it to boot into HBOOT. From there you can select Recovery and press the Power button.

At this point you will then be taken into ClockworkMod Recovery (or some other). You can flash a Nandroid Backup you created or you can just re-flash MIUI.

If you phone just will not power up at all, then I would suggest contacting VZW for a replacement device.
