Stuck in Droid X Purgatory

So I Finally recieved my X in the mail today. But due to some problem with verizon transfering my upgrade i cant activate the phone until friday is there any way to bypass the activate screen at start up so i can at least play around a little?

That seems weird, I had some activation issues and CS got tier 2 and 3 involved to both activate and port my number from AT&T. I use my phone for business and made that known. They gave me very good service, I was impressed.

This is what worked for the OG Droid, on the activation screen with the green Android, first tap top left corner of the screen, then tap top right corner, then bottom right corner and then bottom left corner.

Very nice! Now since you're not activated, you can't use 3G, texting or calling or anything like that but you SHOULD be able to use WIFI to browse and everything, and possibly even download in the market using WIFI.

when i called i got told they would call me back in 2 hours bc a supervisor was working on it in the system and then they called back 2 hours later to tell me they sent an email and will not get a response for 24-48 hours and they would call back

Ouch, that's lame but at least you can play with it a bit.
