Odin 3.07 or 3.09 (I tried both) is stuck on "initializing" and goes no further.

I start Odin, click on PDA and pull up the file I535VRUDNE1_I535VZWDNE1_I535VRUDNE1_HOME.tar.md5

then I put the S3 SCH-I535 in download mode and then I connect the usb cable, and then I click on Start and it gets stuck on initializing.

Any one know what the problem is? How do I get past "initializing"?

Once you load the md5 file, Odin calculates the md5 (that's a hash - a code generated by using every byte in the file) of the file - and that can take a LONG time (a few minutes). Wait until that's done (the PDA button will become active again) before going further.

You might want to try Odin 3.10 - I don't know if what's stopping yours from working has anything to do with fixes made from .09 to .10, but that's the latest version.

Also make sure you have the SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones installed on your PC, and have the phone in download mode (Volume Down+Home+power) before plugging it into the PC.

Thanks Rukbat! I got pas the initialization step.

But now, it stops at "NAND Write Start!!"

What now? I'm using KIES_HOME_I535VRBMB1_861013_REV09_user_low_ship.tar.md5
