why is my phone stuck in Odin Mode?

and there's a big samsung galaxy a3 symbol in the middle of the phone.

Welcome to the forums. Are you pushing any kind of file to the device? If not, you can long press the power button to simulate a battery pull. Then you can reboot to Android.
