Stuck on Samsung Keyboard.

Regardless of how I manipulate my default settings for keyboard, whether I check off to use the Swype keyboard or the Google keyboard, my Note 4 automatically defaults to its crappy Samsung keyboard. The field to uncheck the Samsung keyboard is colored grey, and the checkmark won't change when I try to uncheck it. My phone won't budge from the Samsung keyboard when I access keyboard on the phone, even though the settings show I've checked off another keyboard as a default.

What to do?

Under "Language and Input" in the settings, have you tried "clicking" on "Default"? Make sure you have the keyboard you want below that checked - the Samsung keyboard will be there greyed out - but if you click on Default you should be able to change it there.
