Stuck on samsung logo screen

So I decided to reset my phone because I forgot my password and needed to reset all of my settings. When I turn my phone on, it just waits at the samsung logo screen. It's the screen that just says samsung with a black background. It's been like this for a while now. How do I fix this?

You could try pulling the battery for a few minutes. Reinsert and try again.
