Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded my phone, so was planning on giving my Galaxy S3 to my mum. I cleared most of my apps, all of my photos, files etc off, but didn't do a factory reset as I knew she would use some of the apps, etc. The entire year and a half I had it, it had a notification to do a system update/upgrade, which I never did. But I thought since there was nothing of value to lose, I'd do it before I gave it to mum.
I'm not sure if this is when the problem started or when I logged out of my Google account, but a message started popping up saying 'Unfortunately, Google Account Manager has stopped'. We couldn't get into play store to download new apps, etc.
I googled this issue, tried clearing the cache and data but when that didn't work, I did a factory reset. When I turned the phone back on, setting time zones etc, the popups are still coming up, but now also for YouTube, Hangouts, etc as well, and is stopping me from getting past that setup screen.
Is there anything I can do to fix this at all?
Thank you!
