Stuck Pixel Repair Apps

I was skeptical about these apps when I first heard about them. I was even more skeptical when I tried 2 of them and they did nothing. Luckily they were free apps but I am a believer in "you get what you pay for" (not all the time but for the most part). Anyway this is the first paid app that I've come across that claims to fix stuck pixels so I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this app in particular.

I have a very small (hardly noticeable) stuck pixel that gets covered by other content for the most part, however once in a while it rears it's ugly head and drives this OCD One owner insane. I have used the following so called "Detect & Fix" stuck pixel apps with no luck:

Is trying to fix a stuck pixel with an app simply a waste of time or do some actually work? Again, the app I am hoping to get some feedback on is:

J Screen Fix

Should I save myself $3.25 and just get over the stuck pixel or is this app worth giving a shot?

I'm on my second phone. I had to send the first one back due to a much worse dead/stuck pixel that was larger and very visible at all times. The exchange was done with the retailer not HTC (BTW I was very impressed with the level of service I received from Newegg.com). Anyway after sending the first phone back for a replacement I started doing a little research on dead/stuck pixels with the HTC One and came away with the impression that this was a common problem. I also read about build-quality issues such as gaps, rough edges, scratches on devices brand new out of the box, etc. so when I received my replacement phone it was almost perfect (aside from the stuck pixel which I didn't even notice until the second day and a few other very minor issues) and I decided to keep it fearing any further replacements may have some of these other issues I read about.

Now I am past the 15-day satisfaction period with the retailer so any exchanges would have to be done with HTC directly and quite frankly I just don't feel like going through the hassle. As I mentioned before the stuck pixel on this phone is covered most of the time so I can live with it but if there is an app that can fix it then by all means I would like to try it.

Mine has 3 stuck pixels (bright on dark background that can be rarely seen):-(
I am also the HTC Reseller in my country and every single HTC ONE thst we sold in our Mobile Shop has dead pixel.
So I think replacing new one is waste of time since the replaced one may has stuck or dead pixel too.

Its actually pretty normal for electronic displays to have dead pixels. On average there's usually about 8 of them if you look close enough. And its acceptable for them to be there, the only time the manufacturer should replace it, is when it is large enough to hamper use of the phone.

The damage usually occurs to the displays during shipping, as they are robotically assembled and packaged in the factory.

Stuck pixels have never been acceptable to me OR are only acceptable if I can't see them. Most the flat panel displays I've accepted into my possession have had no discernable stuck pixels and I'd not keep any new device that had discernable stuck pixels. I guess I'm one of the rare few that feel this way.

Every dead/stuck pixel phone I've had has been an HTC. My friend just bought a Sprint HTC One and it had a dead/stuck pixel. I'm planning to get one of these on Verizon, but I won't keep it if dead pixels are there.
