Stupid doubt about change to Pixcel C.

I have been happy with my Ipad 2 until the latest updates got it slow.
I am thinking to buy a Pixel C (25% discount) and among other issues I have a "stupid" doubt.
With my Ipad, using safari as well as Adobe reader I can get the definition or translation selecting differents dictionaries(I am Spaniard ) just pressing the selected world.
I have a Samsung Tablet 7" and never found this options (I don´t uset it too much).
Is there in Android a option to do that.
I read English pages and pdf´s sometimes.

There may be some apps out there, I do believe that the Kindle app can open PDF's and you may be able to utilize the dictionary option built in to the app for PDF's.
