Stylus for Galaxy Tab A 7.0

Is there a specific stylus for use with a Galaxy Tab A 7.0? My wife bought one and having trouble with a stylus bought for Samsung but it won’t work.
It has a screen protector as well. Please, can anyone help.

Welcome to Android Central! If the device didn't come with an S Pen, then it is only compatible with a conventional capacitative stylus. Did your wife buy an actual S Pen?

They make 2 different models 1 with the s-pen and other without.
