SU Survival mode to keep root?

With the latest OTA update barking in my face every day, I am going to lose my cool soon and update. The only problem is I haven't found, definitively, that the SU survival mode option will work. This is what I did with the previous OTA update and I kept my root. If anyone has done this or knows if it will go one way or the other please let me know! Google is not being much help

Bringing back an old thread, I know, but I just got around to updating and rooting today. Thanks for your help!

Were you able to keep your root through update or did you have to re root?
