Subway app crash (web component?)

Current OS: pie (regret). Maybe I can find a way to flash to the last updated build of oreo one day

My problem, the subway app:
On oreo I would get a "app has stopped working" when i hit the "new users start here" or "sign in with existing account"

On pie, it just crashes to icons

I've noticed on other phones I have access to that are not mine, both of these links takes you to a webpage within the app.

Now, of course I've cleared the cache, removed the data, made sure the com folder is gone before I reinstalled and I get the same thing.

Now, I also disabled a lot of **** in both oreo and pie. I've devd a few .net apps in my day and sees what happens when certain components are uninstalled.

Subway help is no help, already tried. Anybody know if there is a component I uninstalled, misconfigured, or generally ****ed up that could cause this? I'm guessing a web component, or piece of software that it's web component uses

After some research I looked into re-installing chrome and webview, didn't make a difference

Yes. No replies. Subway says they will "forward" it to them. I used the appdeveloper@subway.com but no response
