Sudden Battery drain in moto-x first gen

Hi,
For last three days my moto-x is losing battery ~30% mark suddenly.
any clues what is going wrong ?

Sounds like you need to recalibrate battery maybe. Look online and you should find out how to do this.

It was a battery calibration issue, I drained it completely and let it switch off by itself. After that charged for ~5-6 hours in switched off mode and then on this problem is not appearing.

It could also have been an app running in the background that something had gone wrong with. If it happens again (and I hope it does not), check battery usage for any app that might be consuming suspicious amounts of battery.
