Sudden drain when charger unplugged?

I've noticed when I charge my 5x fully at 100% as soon as it's unplugged the drain is very fast, I've literally unplugged it from charge to type this and it's went from 100% to 96% in the matter of minutes.

Other than this I think my 5x is holding up well battery wise but the sudden drain when unplugged is a bit strange (now down to 95%)

Anyone else notice or have this?

Don't have this on my 5X.

Try calibrating the battery info. When device is ON, press and hold power button until device reboots. After it reboots, charge overnight. The first step should clear battery stats, the second should recalibrate for a full charge.

Thanks for the reply, I'll definitely give that ago and see what feedback I get, since posting in the form I haven't touched my 5x until now ands it's still on 95% but as soon as I started typing to this it dropped right away to 94% and now it's dropped to 93% I seem to get very rapid battery drain as soon as unplugged but overall it seems to last OK, but maybe it should be doing better.

Same here.

After my phone reports it is 100% charged I leave it on the charger if I don't have to immediately use it. After I unplug from the charger I reboot the phone if it's convenient. It's an old habit carried over from previous smart phones and it has served me well so far.

I actually have a similar habit that has also served me well for years--meaning that I've not experienced any noticeable drop in battery performance. I plug in when I goto sleep, and leave it plugged in all night.

I also reboot daily, either for a few minutes before going to sleep or for a few minutes in the morning.

Hey I've gave it a few days and tried the advice you'd given and it does seem to have worked and holds a longer charge once unplugged from the charge instead of having sudden drain.

The USB type C chargers are so good I don't think I could go back to a regular charger lol 15 mins charge and I'm good to go lol
