Sudden force close issue

For some reason my phone has gone nuts today. It keeps saying "The application HTC Sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" I have not installed anything new or changed any settings and it has been doing this for about 3 hours now. Any idea why?

Have you tried rebooting the phone?

I have, i have restarted 3 times and had the battery pulled for about 5 minutes.

I'm having this same issue as well. Haven't done anything game changing to the phone at all. This is very frustrating!!

Semi related, but I'm getting the same with both ADW and Launcher Pro for about a week now. I'll need to look and see what's been installed/updated lately, but that's a pita.

Is there a way to hard reboot without it being rooted and no way to get to any menu screens?

Ok after some trial and error of attempting to get to the setting screen, I'm hard restarting to see if this will fix things. Very annoying! hope this works though...

Ok seemed to work so far (hard resetting). Gonna load up all my apps and things again and hope for the best.

Just out of curiosity, what is the status of "your" phone that is doing this? As for mine:

Non-Rooted
Second phone (I had mine replaced once because of the HTC update bricking issue)
No task killer (except Astro but I didn't use the TK part of it)
Careful about getting apps, none of which were not in App Mkt
Had not done anything major lately that I can think of that could have caused Sense issue
?

What about any of you?

I'm having a similar problem, when I run tone picker I keep getting a force close when I run the app. Very strange, haven't changed anything.
