Sudden microphone problems

Hey guys, sudden issues with other people hearing me. Sounds very muffled with no sharpness. Turning on speakerphone however yields crystal clear sound for them, which would lead me to believe it's not hardware related.
Nothing other than a recent verizon security update. I've tried all the standard things, clean/blow in ports, disable mic permissions, everything short of a reset. Anyone else having any issues?

It improved drastically. What is going on?

I spoke too soon, might be a slight improvement. My "Tester" was incorrect lol. Still definitely an issue.

I had that issue a few months ago, tried all the steps I found online, no luck. Had to take it to Samsung as it was still under warranty and it came back good as new. Perhaps some dirt got trapped in those tiny grilles, who knows. Others have reported using air blowers to clean it out, you can try that.

I uninstalled every app and reinstalled. This fixed the issue. Quality of recorded audio and speakerphone was still crystal clear, so I figured out it had to be a software issue.
