Hey guys haven't posted on here in a little while. My note 4 has been getting really buggy lately. I have had it running the same OS since launch day so it's never been reset or anything. Lately my camera randomly shuts off a few seconds into recording it does other things as well. If I want to use the stock messaging app instead of textra the app crashes all the time. I even tried a battery pull for like a minute or whatever and it only got a little better. I have backed up my photos and messages using sms backup + so I will he factory resetting my phone. Anyone know if this should help some of my problems? Thanks!

A factory reset, is nothing but a positive thing. If you've not updated your phone and its using the original software, then it possible that the more demanding apps that are here, and designed for the newer firmwares...could be your issue. Basically, your phone is not up to date for the apps that have been updated for the newer firmwares.

Try a reset..and if you're having the same problem, then update to the latest firmware, then factory reset again.

Sorry I meant that I have never factory reset my phone before. I believe I am running 5.1.1.

Well. Disable the finger print scanner, and see if that helps, there's a known bug with it on 5.1.1. If that doesn't work then try a reset.
