Edit: after trying to solve this on and off for two weeks I naturally figured it out right after I posted a question - it turns out that when my Cisco/Linksys router is in mixed (B/G/N) mode the Dinc S can't see the network, but when I put it into "B/G only" mode it works just fine. This seems to impact our PS3 as well, but nothing else that we own (and we have a dozen or more connected devices in our house). I recently updated the router's firmware (you know, right about the time this problem started), so I'm assuming it introduced a bug, as I'm pretty sure I was running in mixed mode previously. If this could be helpful please to others please leave it up, otherwise mods feel free to remove the post to cut down on clutter.

Hey all-

My wife owns a Droid Incredible S. It's stock through and through, and has always worked well, but a couple of weeks ago I switched my home network to WPA-2, and her device could not find the network anymore. This seemed odd (I know that sometimes devices aren't perfectly compatible with WPA-2, but I would expect it to fail while authenticating, not lose the network all together). I switched the my wireless security back to WPA, and it still can't find the network. Everything else in my house is connected, but the DInc S can be sitting on top of my wireless modem and not find the network. Also, we've tested it and her phone still picks up other networks just find.

Any thoughts? This also started after the recent update that Verizon pushed, so should we try a factory reset? We really appreciate any assistance!

For what it's worth, this is the one single message that helped me debug my situation. All of my devices were doing fine, including my Samsung S4, but somehow my Galaxy Note 10.1 failed to see the WIFI network. It turns out the provider just updated the router firmware; B/G/N is now buggy (or wasn't activated before), and switching to B/G did the trick. Thanks.
