Suddenly YouTube running really slow like slow motion

On my android tablet suddenly YouTube runs really slow out of the blue. I close the app reopen same thing.

Its not the broadband connection as all is fine on pc and mobiles.
I have to reboot the tablet to fix which is a real faff.

What causes this? and what can I do instead of rebooting?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried going to Settings>Apps, selecting YouTube, and clearing the app cache/data?
