Anybody bought any batteries and a charger/dock from Ebay? In general, my battery life is OK, but when I went to New Orleans, my battery was being eaten alive by LTE I guess. It wouldn't even last half a day if I used it much. So, I saw some batteries and chargers on Ebay, but it's hard to know if they are very good or not. I figured I could pack an extra one when I travel.

Anybody have any experiences?

Maybe I also need to root and get some bloatware out, but I've only been on Android two weeks, so I'm still feeling my way around.

When I owned the Epic Touch I used Hyperion batteries and charger. What I like about them is that they provided about the same level of power range as the OEM. I don't like extended batteries because they add bulk to the device that I don't like. The batteries are so thin that I much rather carry a spare in my wallet.

Because of my good experience with the Hyperion batteries with the Epic Touch, I ordered the same for the Galaxy Note. For $29.99 you get two spare batteries and a charger. I find them to work well. I don't need to switch batteries often, but in those rare moments when you need power and you don't have access an outlet having a spare battery is crucial.

I just wanted to add my voice to Das's and say I also use the Hyperion batteries and charger that I bought at Amazon. It takes maybe four or five hours to charge a battery. When you first put in a battery to be charged, it should turn pink and then go to blue when it's charged. I had one instance where I had to re-insert and finally wiggle a battery before it turned pink to start charging. I just didn't want that to happen to you on your first attempt to charge a battery and you wouldn't realize it wasn't charging. I love using it and having two full batteries with me at all times.
