Ok, I currently have a Palm Pre, Ive had an iphone and blackberry over the years and I went in the other day and preordered the EVO 4g.
while I have played around with a G1 and a htc hero, Ive never owned an android phone but I am a little familiar with android
From what I understand, you must have a gmail account to set up email. I use several different email accounts for different things and I wanted to get some suggestions...maybe a "plan of attack" on how I should set up my email when I get the EVO.
first here are the email accounts I use
1. a Yahoo plus email address.....basically my main email...friends/family/coworkers/etc I use everyday all day...the bulk of my email.
2. a regular Yahoo email account......Im currently looking for a job and this email is the one for everything dealing with my job hunt. need regular access to this.
3. a gmail account...this account was used for my blogs, facebook. I don't really use that often as I haven't made use of my blogs in a while and i don't really use facebook. I wouldn't want to use this as my main account for my phone tho cause I still get tons of email dealing with website/internet stuff from when I was blogging (which I may go back to doing here soon).
4. an AOL email account...my "alternate identity" email account. I use it for friends etc that I don't want to know my main account (lol)
5. a junk gmail account.....its just that, a junk email account used for when I think its gonna be spam...(not really that important to keep)
I was thinking I would create a gmail account that mirrored my main aol account address for the phone but how would you go about trying to get the rest of those accounts integrated....mind you I would like to keep them separate.
one more thing....I also have google voice numbers for both gmail accounts and my main yahoo account (I currently use one of them for voicemail on my palm pre)
