Super Clean Milestone 1

Hi everybody! Do I need to wipe everything to flash from SC 0.5 to Milestone 1?

No you don't have to, but I always wipe cache and dalvik cache just to be safe. You definitely do not have to do a full data wipe and factory reset.

If I wipe the minor two...will anything get messed up if I have the tw4 theme installed?

Edit: flashed it and wiped theme but otherwise great.

Yep, wiping cache/dalvik cache is like wiping the slate clean on an etch-a-sketch...it clears the surface, but does not remove the internals/guts. That's the way I've always looked at it. :)

Just flashed this rom today seems like it is working well and alot fraster then stock. But does anyone know if i should change from stock kernel or stay with eh03? still a little confused on the kernel process.

Stock kernel has worked best for me, but there are a couple other kernels that folks are using with SC that seem to do just fine. It's different with every phone, and every ROM, it seems, on how well the different kernels work. My phone does not like the KGB Kernel by comradesven for some reason, but others have great results with it. I say try it, and see if you and your phone like it, and benefit from what it offers. :)

Curious, is there any downside to flashing a new kernel? So,if KGB doesn't work well we can just flash back to EH03? Seems like there's not much to lose by trying... assuming it wouldn't require a full wipe to switch back.

stock kernel seems to be stable with this rom. I may try kgb kernel later on, would like to try some overclocking once I learn a little more about it.

For the most part, it's been stable for me, too. I do get some random force close pop ups for apps that I'm not even using at the time. Swiftkey and Gmail are two culprits.

The only issue with changing kernels is making sure that you don't flash a non-voodoo kernel over a voodoo kernel without making sure that you disable the lagfix before flashing. KGB kernel and lean kernel are both voodoo kernels.

non-voodoo over non-voodoo= OK

voodoo over voodoo= OK

voodoo over non-voodoo= OK

non-voodoo over voodoo= BAD (unless you disable lagfix first)
