i love the features of the eb01 version but the battery lasted me WAY longer on dl30

Like what? It's not lacking anything. Your battery issues aren't related.

i don't know..there always seems like something can be added, like the lockscreens and lg widgets which weren't stock. im happy with the software honestly, i just wish my phone would last me through the day again. not sure if there is a fix for that in the next iteration or if a new base version would make a difference as it did for me in going from dl30 to eb01

There is no good way to test battery life. Some people will swear to exactly the opposite of what you're reporting.

Did you at least clear your batt stats?

I read this in another thread and just wrote it down. I am currently trying it out so hopefully it will solve my problem and maybe yours but we will see Here are the directions that were suggested:

Charge the battery to full.
Turn the phone off while still plugged in.
Unplug and restart the phone into CWM.
Go to advanced and wipe battery status.
Reboot and do not plug your phone into USB or any other source of power until the phone dies from low battery. You want the battery to the point that the phone will not even boot.
Now charge the phone over night.

I'll amend your directions a little...

After charging to full, power off and continue charging until you get the 100% notification.
Then clear battery stats with CWM or manually by deleting "batterystats.bin" in the /data/system folder using a root file explorer.
Reboot.
Run the battery down to at least 5%; it isn't necessary to run it all the way down.
Recharge back to full
