superuser isn't working

i was having problems with my phone randomly opening up the voice dialer and then going into the call log and calling the first person on the list. So i was trying to find a fix to it and the only thing is could find was to hard reset it. So i backed everything important up on titanium backup root and then i backed up my contacts in my backup root and i hard reset it. So after it did it's thing i opened up superuser and it updated. i re-downloaded titanium so i could recover my games and mybackup so i could recover my contacts but when they would request superuser permission it would just sit there and then eventually prompt me that superuser wasn't responding. How do i fix this?
