What if the LTE version came with an upgrade to separate it from the GSM version (other than a 4G LTE logo), like an 8 mp camera instead of the 5 mp? Would that be worth the wait?

...I'm just trying to keep our spirits up.

Would be awesome indeed.

...but the Google site says "5MP continuous auto focus" under the Camera specs.

Maybe they are wrong like when they had it listed as 16 GB?

Funny, I could swear my OG Droid came with a continuous focus camera. It was so horrible I had to purchase an alternative camera app. The camera wasn't fixed on the Droid for six months.

As with the numerous release date rumors, and most of the wild speculation threads in here, absolutely anything is possible.

This one would be nice though. Why stop at 8? How about 10 haha

If Engadget's post yesterday is to believed, it will be distinguished from the GSM version by being thicker :P

It's not too bad of a difference. The VZW LTE version has gone with a slightly darker color scheme, too.

I have a 5mp dedicated digital camera....5 is fine on it great pics at very high resolution.... It takes better pics than any 8mp camera phone I have ever seen. it also does not fit in my pocket. All has to do with size of sensors, price you want to pay, and software. Doesn't the Bionic have an 8mp camera....yet comes set defaulted to 5 or 6..wonder why? maybe not that great at 8? I don't know but the pics I saw from it looked OK. The pics I saw from the Nexus looked OK too...actually the colors looked a bit more realistic than those of the iphone or GSII but this is through my eyes. Maybe everyone is use to seeing cartoon like colors.....just me I guess.

Maybe there might be a software update to improve some things with the camera...but my biggest problem with my 5mp camera on my OG droid is that it takes FOREVER to focus. It takes good pics but just get the thing to focus...so this one on the Nexus is looking good enough for me.

What if? What if they put in the OMAP 4470 instead? That would be a better and easier improvement IMO.
We already know the specs are what they are. The only thing left to speculate is the release date. My brain can't handle any uncertainty with the specs at this time.
