Swaping Sims

When I got my Note 2 I toldbthem to put the new Note with my old number but now I want to switch with my Note 1 number.Is this just a matter of swaping sim cards? Sorry for the ignorance.

Yes but they are different SIM sizes if you are talking about the OG Galaxy Note. A SIM cutter will solve that issue to turn a regular SIM into a micro SIM.
