Is there a way, using swiftkey, to get the microphone icon separated from the comma key. The microphone icon would be much easier to activate if it had its own key. What do you think? .

My sentiments exactly, especially since when you switch to landscape mode on a 'full keyboard', the freakin' voice icon disappears!!!

Alas, nope, no way to have a dedicated key for Voice Dictation yet. You should let the devs know in the SwiftKey VIP forums. If enough people vote for your idea, they might consider it for a future update. That's how we got top number row :)

That's strange. In my phone the mic icon works the same in portrait and landscape mode. And I find the way to activate it just great. Long press for less than a second and it's done.

If you had a separate key there would always be the risk to tap on it, let's say, by accident. And that would be a real pain. The same with the punctuation marks, emojis or the settings.

You have to activate the full keyboard (which I do in my tablet) for it to 'disappear'.

Thanks. I'm using the keyboard in the full mode right now. There's no change. The voice icon is still together with the comma.

I had already understood that in your first post. Again, strange. Maybe It's different from phone to phone or with tablets.

Hey, you're right! Haha I guess they fixed it and I just hadn't tried it. Thanks!

And nope, my bad, it's not the FULL keyboard (well, it is, but not what I meant). It turns out it IS different on tablet and on phones. On the tablet, there's an Extended Layout option, and that would cause the mic to disappear on landscape on the tablet. On phones, you only get the SHOW ARROWS option, but I never tried that on phone.

Now that I've tried it again, the mic is back on Extended Layout and Landscape mode on tablet, so thanks!
