Hello VIPs,

This is a quick message to let you know that, at the top of the hour, we
will be launching a new app called SwiftKey X Beta on the Android Market.

This app will look familiar to you, as you've helped make it! I'm just
giving you a heads up from all the team at TouchType to say thank you very
much for all your contributions and feedback.

Please can as many of you as possible go to the Android Market from the
launch and download the app. It contains fixes to some of the issues you've
raised in the last week, and more importantly - we want to get it up the
charts!

It will be available via http://skx.me/beta

Please Tweet and share the new app once it launches. Let's get the url

From launch, we'll be collecting ideas and feedback for the public beta via
User Voice. This is currently at SwiftKey Customer Support, but will
soon have migrated to http://support.swiftkey.net (hopefully within the
next couple of hours).

We will of course still be doing tests and other fun in the VIP forum,
especially for our forthcoming tablet app. So stick around!

It's a great improvement over the original SwiftKey release. Hopefully more themes come out soon

They still haven't made the "dark" theme any darker! Oh well. It's an awesome keyboard, even better then the original Swiftkey.

A few questions:

I originally got Swiftkey from Amazon's appstore. I don't see the beta available there.

I see it's a free download from the Android market. If I install it, will it install separately from the current Swiftkey?

Also, when it come out of beta, will the upgrade be available via Amazon?

The beta version installs separate from your current install.

Also, when it come out of beta, will the upgrade be available via Amazon?

When the new version goes gold (no longer beta), the official version will be updated on any/all markets it is currently sold through, so as a result, Amazon will see the updated version.

I have both Swiftkey (downloaded from the Market) and Swiftkey X Beta installed and they coexist just fine together. And once Swiftkey X is out of beta I see no reason why Amazon won't get the update.
