SwiftKey X

For anyone interested, SwiftKey X is free on Amazon's market today... normally $3.99. :)
Great deal right? I'm enjoying the Daily Deals from Amazon. Once I got SeekDroid for free! Still.....free Swype is my preferred method haha. But SwiftKey X is a great, classy looking keyboard.

I'm a Swype girl too, but I figured it was a free app so I'd give it a shot. :)

same here I love swype too much to move on to another keyboard.

by the way, how does swiftkey x compare to swype?

It's actually not bad! I've been playing around with it this morning and don't have too many problems with it. I'll still probably use Swype, but for free, I wanted to give it a shot.

It's definitely a sweet keyboard, I like that I can type and if I make mistakes it usually recognizes what I meant to type............that being said sometimes I DO type what I meant to type and it corrects me to something else :'( other than that pretty sweet, swype is still my favorite...

I bought it back when it was just swiftkey, which gave me the free upgrade to X. I like the prediction, amount of customizations, and the ability to choose a theme (be it a small selection.) the only downfall I see is a little lag. By far my favorite keyboard.

Yeah, I have been noticing a lot of lag as well...

I'm pretty tired today so forgive me if it's totally obvious... but I'm not understanding what you're asking.
Sorry did not see that the spell checker changed the word app to apparently !
What I am asking is: Is there a app for the Amazon app market, so I can check out this keyboard. Or do I look it up on the web?

Amazon Appstore for Android Getting Started has instructions to download the amazon appstore app.

however, swiftkey was the featured paid-app for free of the day yesterday, so there's a different app that's free today. but I think you can still get swiftkey beta free? I have that on my phone and I didn't pay for it at least, and I got it from the normal android market.

It's the best guesser of all the keyboards, not only the current word, but the next likely word.

I really like it, have been a beta tester for while for it. I love the fact that if I hit the letter O, words pop up in the order so all I have to do is hit the words On, The, Way, Home so it's 5 presses instead of 15

Damn. By the time I want to download and try, they Jack it back up to 3.99...

Amazon has a free app of the day every day... that so happened to be that day's free app. Check everyday for new ones, they usually have pretty good ones.

Never miss the Free (cr)App of the day with this handy Amazon Free App of the Day Reminder. It's $1.99, but I got it free from this thread a while back.

Since the Amazon App Store opened I've nabbed about 10 apps. Seems to most often be games or poorly rated apps - ratings are useless for the most part because there are a lot more ignorant people posting than intellectuals. SwiftKey was one of their best free titles, but I already purchased it with no regrets.

I'm done hijacking now... :)

I purchased Swiftkey X back when I was with my Hero, but havent used it since introduced to Swype...

its all about preference.
