Swimming lap counting accuracy when doing crawl only?

I've read people complaining about the stroke counting of the Gear Sport, but when you look at the details they're unhappy about it not counting laps where swimmer is doing exotic strokes or is using a kickboard (which seems like it'd be a challenge to track for any current technology).
Just wondering how accurate people have found the watch just when doing crawl stroke in a standard length 25 yard pool?
