switch from pixel xl for g6?

i have pixel xl and bored with it, has anyone switched from the pixel xl to g6 and if so what are your thoughts?

I did, with two defective S8+ in between.

So far the G6 is basically the Pixel XL with a slightly worse (and definitely slower) camera. It's just as smooth, and definitely not laggy like the S8+ was.

Pixel XL: Fast, great camera, fast updates, no waterproofing or SD card.

G6: Fast, decent camera, larger display, less updates, waterproofing, SD card.

If you were bored with the Pixel, this won't excite you either. It's a great phone, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles of Samsung's stuff.

Camera is great, but slow in non optimal lighting. That is the only reason I still use my S8+. I'm eyeballing the G6 daily but that camera is a big deal to me. Other than that it feels like a Pixel/Nexus device for sure.

I dont find the G6 camera slow...i have camera roll turned off...try that

It's actually faster now that I took out my SD card. I think it was the writing to the external SD that was slowing it down.

I also noticed a speed and quality improvement after the 10d update I received yesterday.

My 10f update seemed to bring a few camera improvements too. Definitely focuses a little faster now and I noticed they added zoom controls to the shutter button the same as the Galaxy s8.

Regards jumping from the Pixel to the G6... It's an excellent all rounder but I'd maybe wait to see what the Pixel 2 is bringing to the table and if that doesn't excite at least the G6 will be a lot cheaper by then
