Switching batteries - turn phone off?

Yes, turn it off. Often, information is held in cache and could be lost if you just jerk the battery.

I almost never turn my phone off before swapping out batteries, but the cache thing is something to consider.

Thanks for the info.... I didn't know that. I had just been doing battery pulls while changing batteries.
