Switching from HTC10 to Samsung S9+

Hi friends,
After 8 long years of only owning a HTC device, I'm finally making the jump to Samsung. My Samsung S9+ will be here tomorrow. I know that google will back up apps, contacts and such but looking for a way to transfer other data (music, files, downloads etc...). Any suggestions?

Also would appreciate any additional info you think may be helpful as I make this transition. Any must have apps? I know this sounds silly but I feel like a fish out of water as I'm so used to HTC--theres much I'll miss about HTC but it was time to move on.

Well, just my opinion but with all of us with GS9 & 9
+ in US stuck on Feb Security update with no answers from Samsung I would consider holding on to that receipt, read how delayed & unresponsive Samsung has been and consider Pixel 2 or other device....

Yikes! I switched to Xfinity Mobile, they don't offer the Pixel. The only other option would be (gulp) an iPhone.
