Switching from rezound

Hi all.

I'm thinking of switching from my rezound. I had a few questions. Has anyone tried any emulators on this device? If yes, has anyone got a usb controller working with one?

I'm tired of waiting for s-off and since I'm stuck in a 2 year contract, I want a device that is assured updates and support. I'm definitely going with Nexus devices from now on. Sick of games these oems play.

Anyone here switch from a rezound? Also, any of you going without a case? I'm worried about the safety of it, but I'm sick of being paranoid about it lol.

IMO -

1. run don't walk to the VZW store and get the G-Nex.
2. don't go naked - pick up the Otterbox Defender case. this way it's protected and you can enjoy it and won't have to worry about it.

I'm definitely going with Nexus devices from now on.

Problem is we never know what carrier the Nexus is going to. First one went to T-Mobile, second to Sprint, third to Verizon. I wish Google would just start releasing the Nexuses (sp?) on all carriers, or at least all the ones they've already been on like Apple does.

T-Mobile and AT&T users are lucky though because they can always buy an unlocked Nexus and use it on their carrier.

I have the defender for my rezound. I like the protection, I just hate the bulk.

I've seen videos of people using Nintendo 64 emulators on YouTube...check it out. I have not seen anyone using a USB controller though. It should work, it works in honeycomb and Google brags about USB hosting....

You'll need an otg cable and using a ps3 controller will wipe out the nexus's battery since it will be trying to charge the controller. Best bet would be a controller without a battery..

Don't know...don't have a GN . I was able to find videos of people using the galaxy s2 with a USB controller. Someone here has have to tried USB hosting a controller with an emulator. Someone will chime in soon....

The just updated GTA3 to work with the GNex if that's any consolation ...

I really love my rezound, it's perfect in every way except life span. I know htc is just going to forget about it and it'll take forever to get updates.

I have both and IMO Nexus is the best phone out in this universe PERIOD. I'm only keeping the ReZound for ics. I'm loving the pure google experience and it just works. Like another poster said, "run to Verizon don't walk."

Switched from Rezound due to lack of s-off and inability to sync my exchange while in 4g. I'm happy with my choice.
