Do you guys think that a 4gig data share a is enough for two people or should I get the 6gig one

Doesn't AT&T allow you to switch data plans any month pretty easily and without charge? If so, you could start with 4GB and adjust accordingly. Personally I think 4GB between 2 people would be more than sufficient unless you don't have regular access to wifi. I've never come anywhere close to 1GB in a month myself, but anything data intensive I do over wifi.

IF those 2 people are my parents sure..
If those 2 people are me and someone else No.
We really cant help you with the question you asked because there isnt enough information to answer it correctly.
What are the 2 peoples usage like? heavy or light? do they stream music? videos? maps and gps for traveling?

No, get 6GB to be safe. I'm using the 6GB plan and between two people we sometimes go over. We are heavy data users though.

I'm on an individual plan with 3 GB cap. If I go over, then I pay $10 for another 1 GB of data. I've been with AT&T for almost 1 month now, and I'm at 2.5 GB. So if I occasionally go over my 3GB limit I'm ok with paying another $10 for that month.

usguyver, the thing you should REALLY do is check your current provider's records for your actual data usage. Take however long they offer of total account data usage, then add it up and divide it by the number of months you can obtain info for. The result will be your average monthly data usage. Also look at the peak months and think about why the usage was so high. If it was that you upgraded devices and went nuts playing with it, that's fine. If you had a viable reason to use that much data, you may want to seriously consider what you're about to do.

My husband and I are on a 6GB plan, I stay at home on WiFi 90% of the time and he works from 4am-6pm. He is not allowed to use his phone during work except after PT and during lunch, and we still reach 6gb monthly. We are what you would consider moderate to heavy users, he streams Pandora every time we get in the car. On that note, we have very strong 4G LTE, so it could affect our data useage differently.

4 gigs of shared data has worked fine for me. I typically use data over wifi and only network data to pull email, run traffic and GPS apps and I never use up all my allocation.

Just to get another usecase, I've used 1.5GB in the past 7 days. I really need my unlimited =/ That's ONLY counting MY handset.

Average out your current data usage with your current provider (if you have smartphones).

Your usage as you described doesn't sound to crazy. Anything else you'd be doing with it? Or would you be using streaming video a lot?

I don't stream video a lot but I do stream music

What's your usage now? I'd check your past few months.

On Sprint nothing much because when I'm out and about the 3G doesn't work very well and only works good when I'm around a 4G LTE area so at the moment I did not use months even the past few months I am also on wifi at home.
