Switching

So I've been a blackberry guy for years, but I realize the market is going to be all android soon. I was going to wait to switch, but some jerk admin at crackedberry called me a troll for saying I wouldn't pre-order a BB10 device, and would wait for the price to be reduced. I hate trolls, and hate even more being called one. So I'm going to make the jump to a Samsung. I'm sure it will be a learning curve, but I should be able to get there.
Also on a humorous note, if you're a troll over there, you can earn 'infraction points'. Like we're back in elementary school. I hope the people here aren't so emotionally committed to objects like a phone. If something on my phone sucks, I'm going to say it sucks, and if you offended by that then you should probably seek help!
I may need some help over the next weeks, wish me luck.

Hi Tim, well I still like using my BlackBerry for certain things and still use mine on a daily basis. That said, I also like using my One X for more entertaining things. I am of the school of thought "if you don't like something, change it".
Android, Windows 8, ISO and coming soon BBX. All have something to bring to the table. Never base your choice on what others have, but on what worlds nest for you.

As for the CB forums, I really like them over there. As of late there have been quite a few who like to stir the pot. Thus, causing mods to penalize certain members. If you act like a child, then be treated as such ( not directed at you opening poster). Also, yeah some are really attached to their technology.

Yeah I really like my blackberry, great phones in my opinion. I won't be getting rid of it for a while, until I'm confident on this one. I run my whole business from my phone so it needs to work. There are many apps I've found in Google play that I hope will help. I know switching seems like an over reaction, but I guess I'm sick of the same conversation over there. Defensive to the end. I can't remember the last time a problem was solved in the forums, rather than attacking any posts that point out a flaw. I'm ultimately switching cause I know I'll end up with Android eventually, and there are many concerns I have with BBX.

Seriously, Google Play is really sweet. I have uploaded my entire CD collection to the servers and enjoy having movie access on any device I own. The speed, screen size and camera of my One X destroy my 9930. However, I love the build, keyboard, weight and call quality of my bold. I'm also really curious about the upcoming Windows 8 phones. Originally I had wanted the Titan II, but felt that it was not fully baked yet. I like what I've seen so far.

Android has come a long way in such a short time. It's only going to get better. The funny issues I see are stemming from the hardware makers themselves and the consumer base. Sense vs Touch Wiz vs Blur vs Stock vs Rooted vs Unrooted. Oye, It's enough to make one's head spin.
