I've noticed that no matter how much you use a virtual keyboard you cant hit the muscle memory/accuracy level of a physical keyboard when it comes to typing without looking. Swype however, lets you memorize gestures for words, and doesn't require you to be a hundred percent accurate to get that word out. Also, swype is the only keyboard I've been able use one handed faster than 20 wpm. I love swype.
I wish there was a setting to have different keyboards in different orientations. I like swype but not in landscape... i would prefer the regular keyboard in landscape.

I love using Swype in portrait mode when the time calls for it. Landscape is very ehh because I can type like a speed demon with the regular multi-touch keyboard. I usually just default to the regular keyboard and show off Swype to my friends.
Came from a Tour. Now it makes a great qwerty alarm clock...I really like swype a lot. I thought I was going to miss the keyboard on my curve but I really haven't.
DUH. I forgot about that setting. Thank you!Swype is great, though I'm still making a few errors (and I don't tend to review my texts before I send, so there were some weird texts that went out, lol), so I adjusted the setting for more accuracy with less speed.
+1 except for me it's "wasn't" when I mean "want".i posted a whole thread about this, but how in gods name do you delete a factory installed word with swype on a droid x? ive followed the directions dozens of times and i just cant get rid of "utah" (shows up 50% of the time i type yeah)
Maybe I missed this in the thread and if so I am sorry but..... Can Swype be set to insert a space after each typed/swyped word? I went into settings and checked "Auto Spacing" but I still have to hit space after each word.
Any ideas?
That is the fix... do you have auto-puncuation on too?
Fix No Workie!
Swype does not have an "Auto Punctuation" setting. the Droid keyboard does but not swype. I tried unchecking "Auto Capitalization" in the Swype settings but that did not help.
Is it possible to delete swype and reload it? Maybe that would work?
The no spacing thing is not a big deal but it does slow you down a bit. It would be nice to have it working.
