I thought at one point there was a minor software update to fix the "I vs i" bug. It seems that this bug has returned along with two other bugs not related to the keyboard. Anyone else noticing this?

I'm not noticing it as much on my N4 as I am on my N7. N7 I can hardly get through a sentence because it fails to capitalize the "I"s in my sentences.

I haven't noticed any problems with that. Are you on version 1.4.5.12537?

I don't see that version anywhere on the about phone section.

I'm constantly having to correct the casing everytime. In some situations, I can't finish swyping the next word until I select the proper case.

Go into Swype settings. It's under Preferences at the very bottom.

I was actually going to ask about it not putting spaces after a period. Sometimes it does but mostly it doesn't. I was using SlideIt but they're screwed that one up so I went back to swype. It's definitely not as customizable as SlideIt but it does have some advantages. Anyone have any info on it?

I tried many Swype type keyboards and I keep on coming back to Swype for its accuracy. But since the MB1 update there is a five second lag each time I use Swype till the keyboard shows up. It's very annoying! Does anyone experience this as well? What can I do?

I noticed the lag also. Figured the heck with it, and bought SwiftKey. Too bad. I liked Swype.

--Tapatalk 2 on SGS3.

I just started experiencing the lag as well.

I read on forums from other phones who have this lag issue. They mentioned that you should go to the settings of Swype - Swype connect- and uncheck backup and sync. They claim that it took away the lag. Unfortunately " backup and sync" is grayed out and there is no way I can uncheck it...

The lag is terrible! I don't know that I'll be able to keep using Swype if this isn't fixed.

Swift key isn't bad however is terrible with learning new words. There isn't a manual way how to add or delete words in a customized dictionary. Yes I know, they say if you select the word it will learn it but I have given up on them learning my user names or emails. It also can't compare to swypes accuracy. I find myself needing to fix my words way too many times compared to swipe. So as I said swype is the best for me. But the lag is killing me

I haven't gotten the lag. I've used SlideIt for a few years now and have been really disappointed in it lately, to the point where even though I've paid for SlideIt I'm not using it. There are a few things SlideIt is better at, LOVE the shortcuts and the ability to delete any word, even if you haven't added it to the dictionary, but it's been awfully glitchy lately.

I think I solved the lag problem. Go into the settings for Swype and select Swype Connect. If Backup & Sync is not grayed out then uncheck it. If it is grayed out, then click on the Register option and register and create your account. Once your account is created disable the Backup & Sync, Contribute usage data, and Cellular Data options. Once I was able to uncheck all three the keyboard lag completely disappeared. Hope this helps.
