Swype - What am I doing wrong?

I've downloaded per instructions on here and it won't let me use Swype in landscape mode. Also, when I try to use it in portrait mode, it only shows a small amount of the keyboard.

Any ideas how to make it work properly?

touch and hold the keyboard until a choice of boards pops up. Swype will be one of the choices. Click it and you'll see their logo in the lower left corner of the keyboard.

touch the text box and you'll get the keyboard. Then touch and hold the keyboard for a second or two. The choices should pop up.

I get swype to pop up, but when I turn it to landscape it says "the swype package installed does not match the screen size of the device.

I'm ready to just uninstall it all and just deal with the crappy HTC keyboard

I haven't had that problem. Mine works fine. Reinstall it... it just takes a minute.

Are u sure you downloaded the right apk from xda, that was posted in the other thread? It's for the Incredible but works just fine on the EvO.

I thought I downloaded the right one, maybe I'm doing it wrong on the download.

Can you link me please, maybe if you have time even write out some step by step instructions in layman terms?
