Hello, I just got a a Samsung Galaxy S3 last month and had no problems with it until a few days ago. My Swype keyboard keeps disappearing for no apparent reason. I get the little choose input notification and try to choose swype, although I don't normally have to, and nothing happens. I really like using it, especially the latest version. Can anyone assist?

To add, the phone stops and reboots into safe mode. The only way I can get out of that is to remove the battery. But restarting the phone and shutting it down, nothing seems to work. Doesn't work to remove the battery either. If I keep toggling back and forth between the samsung keyboard and the swype sometimes that works. But I can't figure out exactly why so I can't replicate it when it stops.

I am having the disappearing swype keyboard also. Seems to be becoming more frequent. I have no idea what is going on or how to fix it but I too am having this issue. Hopefully someone knows. Do you have any other keyboards installed? I have Swiftkey installed also I have un and reinstalled the swiftkey to no avail.

I installed swiftkey after Swype stopped working, but I don't like it as much as Swype. Nothing is working and now the entire phone locks up. It's getting worse.

Sounds like it's time for a Factory Reset.

I went to the Swype website and found a fix that seems to be working:
"Have you tried disabling anything that syncs the dictionary, disabling usage reporting and living dictionaries and cellular data?"
Swype settings/Swype Connect/uncheck everything.

Works like a charm now. Whew.
