Swype with Froyo

Just got the Froyo update today and love it, but I can't get swype to work now. Has anyone else had this issue and/or know how to resolve it?

Uninstall Swype... NOT THE INSTALLER... Then reinstall using the Swype installer app in the app list... You'll need to log back in with your email and password...

You'll be back Swyping in no time...

You have to sign up for the beta, which was closed last I checked.

Yes, it's a closed Beta that you need to sign up for... However, if you had it while running 2.1, you have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work on 2.2...

Because, you need two hands to hold the Evo... Swype enables Evo users to type easier with their tongue while they strain to hold it up...

Just restored (via Titanium) the Swype Installer, logged in and it downloaded and installed without a hitch.

You only need to do that if you're having issues with Swype after updating. So far mine has been flawless since updating.

swype just needs to release on the market (even if its not free).

Swype's business plan is to partner with manufactures to get the keyboard on the phone at release. They didn't have partnerships in place in time for it to be included with the Incredible. I don't expect to ever see it included into an update for the Incredible, nor do I expect to ever see it in the market. Best you can hope for is they reopen the beta or you find the apk somewhere.
