Sync facebook contacts

Typically I would go to Settings > Accounts > Facebook and then choose sync with existing contacts but in the facebook account settings there are sync options, just says sync now if I choose the menu button. I'm trying to get the Facebook pictures to sync with my contacts.

It's not on this phone. You either need a third party app on the phone, or, if you use a Mac, you can sync your address book with both Google and Facebook using an app in the Mac App Store called CoBook, which will end up doing the same thing.

Android got rid of the built in sync, so you have to use 3rd party apps.

Actually the built in sync is still available on my Note 3 and also looks the same on the HTC m8. Seems like only the droid turbo doesn't have it.

That's because Samsung uses Touchwiz to do it, and HTC uses Sense to do it. Motorola is very close to stock Android which doesn't have built-in Facebook sync.
