Sync only selected folders with outlook contacts

I am looking for an app that will sync my droid with only selected CONTACT folders in my outlook contacts. I have different folders for different businesses and do not need them all on my phone. Please do not respond with an app that allows you to select only ONE folder or ALL folders. I want to select multiple contact folders of my choice. This was a piece of cake with the stock app on my blackberry (for free). Things seem way more complicated with Androids.

Easiest is probably to sync the contacts you want on your phone to your Google account associated with the phone. I haven't used outlook in a long time but I seem to remember that you can export to a file selected contacts and then upload them to the Google account and sync those to the phone.

Thanks but didn't want to get involved with now having to deal with google as another intermediary party and have my contacts somewhere else which just increases security risks. This should not be that difficult

While I would certainly echo what Vudumedic suggests, it seems you are against any cloud syncing solution.

Given that, there is a possibility HTC Sync may do what you need as indicated in Step 5 on this page:

HTC Desire - Setting up more sync options

It looks to involve changing manual settings vs. using the automatic sync method. Those steps are for the Desire, but I'm sure the same options would be available regardless of device (provided it's an HTC).

Another option might be to simply sync all contacts once, then delete those you won't need off the phone. Just a thought.
