So I installed HTC Sync and got it to recognize my phone. However when I click 'people' in HTC Sync, it doesn't show Outlook listed so when I try to Sync, it doesn't sync anything. In the people box, it doesn't have anything listed. I would expect it to say outlook. How can I get my Outlook Contacts into the TB?

E-mail accounts

I'm still deciding on whether to buy or not buy the TB... Based on current owners battery issues... However, with the Samsung Facinate if you have a gmail account, login to your account via web browser then goto to settings/accounts and settings/import mail and contacts... Click on the command button/import mail and contacts - enter you e-mail address ex: username@charter.net and password then you can import from your e-mail and contacts to gmail. If the TB is anything as far as syncing goes it should import mail and contacts directly to your phone for use with gmail or any other e-mail client you use... Not 100% sure on the TB, works great on the SF... Hope this helps!

Unless you specifically want to sync over the wire, by plugging in I would suggest that you download google calendar sync on your PC. This will sync you calendar and contacts (you can decide what) with your google account. They will then automatically sync with you phone. This way they will stay up to date. You can also decide to make the sync one way or bi-directional.

Any thoughts? I have been a blackberry user for 6 years and getting ready to finally switch. Biggest concern is how do you get your outlook messages and contacts and calendar over? This is a huge issue. How do you access outlook on the almighty thunderbolt?

By the way any of you who think this is great new technology, 8 years ago (I?m old) I had a VX6600 Audiovox. Touch screen and slide out keyboard. By the way, always carried an extra battery. Google it!

I'm trying a trial of something called companion link (google it). I don't know how well it works, but coming from BB, I need something that syncs EVERYTHING in outlook...
