Sync when roaming

In my daily travels I often find myself in a building that has 0 bars of sprint coverage and my phone will jump to a stronger (but roaming - triangle icon above signal bar) network and my active sync does not work.

I looked at my active sync settings and there is a syng when roaming option but it is grayed out and I cannot select it. I verified Data and Voice romaing is on and I have disabled the data roam guard (still not sure what this is and if I need it on or not) but I still can not check active sync when roaming optoin.

Now what?

Where are you seeing it grayed out?

If I go into Wireless & networks, and select the Mobile networks dropdown, (make sure "Mobile Networks" is checked) I can check or uncheck Data Roaming there.

You might need to be in a non-roaming area to change this setting.

You do have Roaming set to "Automatic", right? And "always-on mobile data" checked?

Roaming is set and automatic... where I am seeing it grayed out is under the account settings for my active sync account. There is an option called sync when roaming and I can not check it.

Is anyone else able to check this? What am I doing wrong?

I am grayed out also...this happen after I updated the android software...before I was able to click this option
