Synced Android Pie to Windows 10 issues

I synced my Android Pie to Windows 10. Now my android apps don't show when notifications come through. They DO show up in my drop-down, but not sitting on the individual apps. In order to see what made my phone vibrate, I can't just look at the screen and see which app was pinged.

By saying you "synced Android Pie to Windows 10" do you mean that you installed the Microsoft launcher? Does that launcher allow for icon badges? If not - if you revert to the standard launcher to restore that functionality.
