Synchronizing STUCK...

My phone appears to be "stuck" or something. For the past week or so, it always shows the little synchronizing icon in the upper left corner and under my notifications it always shows "Synchronizing... Phone book contacts are now synchronizing". When I turn it off and turn it back on, during start-up it shows that it's starting this sync. Then after a couple of seconds, it pops up and says "sync failed".

Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your Google account]​. Do you see any sync errors there? Try unchecking those erroneous entries and then checking them again. Does it sync successfully this time?

I do see one error. It's on Picasa Wb albums (I don't even know what that is). When I click it it just tries for a second to sync then says "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."

The problem is, the note listed in my notifications says "Phone book contacts syncing..." But it never goes away.

I did. Click on the link in the post #4 and follow the steps there for "Wipe Cache Partition."
