Syncing apps

I installed Kies, then tried Easy Phone Sync and found it limited to transferring iTunes library and seeing an external DVD drive as a phone..... I've uninstalled Kies. I have Airdriod which has some nice features, but does not properly see my internal storage vs. SD card storage status (Airdroid's suggested fixes do not solve this). I am looking for suggestions for a versatile USB sync app for use with a Mac. TIA for responses, Larry
