I have a Samsung Zfold 7 and an Acer laptop running Outlook on Windows 11. I’ve had Samsung Galaxy phones for years. Had a Zfold 3 before the 7. I use Samsung Calendar and Samsung Contacts, as they’re obviously convenient.
I’ve used AkrutoSync for years to sync my contacts and calendar. It was the only program I could find when I started with it, but it has always been very cludgy, but now it’s not working, and they haven’t been very helpful. And I’m not particularly tech savvy.

What do you folks use to sync contacts and calendars? Please understand when/if you answer that I'm not particularly tech savvy. So terminology that is probably obvious to you may well just be jargon to me. If you have a program that works well, or even if you have other contact and calendar app combinations that work well, I'm open to suggestions.

Who is your email provider? (Meaning, Gmail, Outlook.com or something else)

I have the following instructions for how I Sync, but there are some differences depending on what service you use, so let me know and I can see if I can get more specific if this does not work:

Syncing via Microsoft Exchange

If you are an Office 365 or Outlook.com user, you can sync contacts to your Samsung Galaxy using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync. Follow these steps to set it up:

  1. Open Settings: On your Samsung Galaxy device, navigate to ‘Settings’.
  2. Accounts and Backup: Tap on ‘Accounts and Backup’ and select ‘Accounts’.
  3. Add Account: Tap on ‘Add Account’, then choose ‘Exchange’.
  4. Enter Your Email: Type in your Outlook email address and password.
  5. Set Up Your Account: Your device will automatically configure the server settings. Once prompted, allow permissions for syncing contacts (and calendar).
  6. Sync Now: After setup is complete, go back to the accounts settings and tap on your Exchange account. In this menu, ensure that the sync option for contacts and calendar is activated.
By using this method, your Outlook contacts will sync automatically with your Samsung Galaxy. Any changes you make on Outlook will reflect on your phone in minutes.
